Twenty-Eleven feels good. Is it feeling good to you too? Excellent.  I have stopped a bunch of fun blog entries cuz my main computer died on me, so I had to take it to the doctor. And I haven´t recorded any more PortlanDIY songs, out of respect. Becuz of the respect I feel for the Show – Who says they stopped by anyways… – But I will record more in a near future with that on mind. -

I think soon I´ll take a month of vacations that will make up for two years of vacationless motion. And am gonna place two of my fav. Nirvana songs and videos. That´s it. I hope everyone of you will have a fantastic start of the new millennium, and it´s logic continuum process. And like that all the stars and planets above confabulate and do it´s clockwork to bring you positive and constructive things, and that it will bring some kind of  irrefutable electropositive consciousness change in peoples minds and brains, and that everything will turn purple, meaning mind blowing. Well, this started Today at late dawn when I gave it a read. I got fascinated.  I did a techno track. All of the sudden I got an idea of doing an out of tune blues today afternoon. Kinda like a funny song thing, kinda like a Jingle. I had said before that I only would have done jingles for certain particular, of course, dreaming high above  all I would have imagined at this and at that time, and most of all, I said it  jokingly. It´s kinda funny now that I think about all the times I´ve been asked to work on jingles for companies, like serious and lasting jobs, and of course about all the times I have turned down those jobs with different excuses. Prolly that was my excuse. Ok, I would have gotten more sandwiches in the weekends, but hey, who wants to do a Jingle or a Song that is crappy and goes thru 20 different focus groups and filters and all that. I would have been ashamed of myself, in silence. Privately. And it would have been a loss of time. Id rather be penniless for a couple of months, most people don´t understand. It´s not like I was gonna die or nothing. I do things on my own terms. And like if I dig, am flexible.

So I started this (the whole idea) today near dawn, with a techno happy funny tune, then this it is what came up. People who have cd´s and stuff know who am borrowing from, and know the feeling of this. It´s nothing new. But anyways, at some point it got serious weird. Which is good. And I got a chance to pay a little homage to musicians I look up too. And to comedians. All in the same bag in this series, sometimes I can´t tell em apart, Songs for the Restless. Who could turn down an D.I.Y Call? Ok, I don´t even live there, but hey, that call got pretty far. #PortlanDIY. Has the answer call at least gotten in the answering machine now I ask myself. Hell, this is fun anyways, am gonna record all these days songs with this in mind.

Well, while am still getting over the fact that soon am gonna take vacations, somewhere, I can slack off and put to roll the “Pijama Demos”. Yeah, that´s me with my tired and unpracticed skills at the mic. But don´t oversee the fact, that I was competent for like 2 years straight. It got to the point where it didn´t made no difference as if I were playing or producing a lot, or if I was simply veggin out.  Just the fact that harder and hader  demos to produce where coming up, was a simply enough sign to say fuck it till next year. But some pretty good Gig came up near the birth of baby Jebus, so I had to strap on what I really love most in the material world and still go at it. I don´t know if to call em “Pijama Demos” or, “The Last of the worked up to the bone musician Demos”. I still have a few that I wanted to produced today, just because that´s what I like to do, to play record and produce, but if I have done that, I wouldn´t have no strength left for the week. A totally rested Saturday and Sunday will do it´s function. And a fun Friday.

I guess being the last days of the year am kinda introspective on my own time, and evaluating everything, and kinda trying to forsee how next year will unfold, and my conclusion is that nobody knows, the only thing I know is that I will be playing my ass off again, with lots of feedbacks, and a few more tricks in my bag. Happy Firsts days of X-mas.

When someone arrives at this country, after a long stayance somewhere else (like it did happen to me), it´s like stepping into a Sci-Fi Movie Dystopia becoming real, right in front of your eyes, right from the start at the airport. Then you get used to it, somehow, and anyway  you can, so you can go on and live your normal life. When you turn on your TV, and you just see the so called “President of a Nation”, pointing at buildings, daughter in hand, along his entourage of atrofiates, yelling: “expropriate this one too!”, or he just randomly starts to to the same on camera or off camera robbing private resources, one just can say “Yeah, The Cubans got it right, and are living the sweet life” – and there is no one to do not catch the sarcasm there.

This is just one of thousands, erm, literally thousands of “Odd” things (We don´t know what descriptive words there are to use anymore with this “Goverment”) – Violations of International Laws and Human Rights – happening. Literally thousands. 10.000. 20.000. And on and on.

It´s like a Klingon going after Frodo´s Ring constantly who has already sold out Humanity and his own Nation to the Cylons (1978 style). There ya go.

If the “Bolivarian” “Revolution” is so nice and good and wealthy, why is everyone leaving the country, and why Engineers (Soil, Mechanics, etc) long ago have taken the roll of taxi drivers, why everyone is bitching that they don´t have the actual money to buy their monthly groceries, why we are the 3erd most expensive country to live in, why we are rated along the 3 most dangerous countries in the world, why are there no jobs, why are all the infrastructures having real problems, and why everybody who is with Chavez just nods and waits for more crumbly like hand outs. No questions there.

Just Google this: “chavez expropriates” and thousands of links will show up. This issue am bringing up here is just one of thousands of Violations of International Laws and Human Rights happening daily in the country of Venezuela.
