Mid Year, 2011.

Well, this Eastern Season I had less interest for any kind of religious/spiritual belief than past years, maybe cuz I already have all the info I need for now, and just dipped into the Material World. It´s tricky for me to say that, cuz what I did, which is music, can´t be holded, can´t be grabbed, it´s somehow ethereal, am not selling it,  which means it lies in the air, so I guess it served it´s purpose if my Season it´s seen through the lens of a Religious Fanatic. I can care less even if Sunday it´s when Christ resurrected, cuz we all know now that the dates are misplaced some 3 or 4 months, and we all know about religion Avatars, right?. Let´s cut the crap. We´re in the festivities of end of winter, for use of a better term, for which of those who like a more positive way of getting through with words, we were celebrating the Coming of Spring. If we turn this around, again, we can say we we´re celebrating the Resurrection of The Christ, on a Sunday, when vernal equinox takes place, more or less. It´s fine with me. It makes some sort of sense. It speaks in various idioms and maybe it actualized itself. We´re no longer Croppers and we need someone to forgive all of our sins. This is more fitting for this age. Work to then reap later is too hard and laborious in the highest form of this Zeitgeist we live in. Click and download and instant gratification. Good thing Inquisitive minds usually have grown weak in this New Age, and like, can´t burn me at the stake after breaking my legs for knowing and internalizing what is,  what it is.

No, I didn´t came up with this recently, I´ve wandered of in this direction since I was becoming a Teenager. Now the world is more tolerant. More open. And more Hypocrite. Which sums up the real Evil in this world. Or so I think.

I decided that this weak I was going to dive into music, for my own reasons, then I got the influenza, and I did it anyways. To some extent the music was thresholded and shaped by the flu, summed up by how I felt and  the mild effects of medications in my system.

Now that I fixed the dvd burner, after months, I got to see the first season of Freaks and Geeks (- !!! – Misleading article about the show in wikipedia, that just goes to show one of my points -). I downloaded the whole season, and did marathons with it. I can no longer wait one week to see any next episode of any given show. If a good show comes on tv, I wait one or two seasons, and I download the whole thing then. It´s a choice I did make. A conscious and a subconscious one. Flipping thru channels, to end up watching a very shallow and boring program, perhaps annoying, which is the result of pasting 8 other similar programs about the Pharaons and old Egypt, just doesn´t cut it anymore. Wildlife programs, the same. I guess I just have to wait till they get new discoveries and start putting out stuff which is relevant again. The only thing in television I can watch is cartoons. Like House of Imaginary Friends, and the one about the the small angered girl which has the Angel of Death as a friend, along with the big nosed kid. (I´ve never seen such a considerate Angel of Death depicted anywhere else.) I have basic cable too, which leaves me with more room to do my own stuff. I´ve been trying to get premium for a while now, but I always have other expenses, like guitar strings. So am happy

But it´s no secret that music takes most of my time, and I have really little time for anything else. I still frequent concerts, gigs and parties. You can say it´s a crazy thought and therefore a crazy action, but what I found more crazy is staring at a TV watching shows, and actually saying “why I am watching this shit?” – “What is this piece of crap that they are trying to sell me?”, and actually keep on watching it. Everyday (I.E  pueril sitcoms, poor produced reality shows). I love Trash TV, hey, don´t get me wrong, but there`s some stuff out there which is just plain dumb in the bad sense of the word. It´s insulting. Am not in their target, why should I watch? To dissect what they are really after, or to search for the hook of all those shows and therefore finding the reason why people watch it and live their life’s like they do… Takes too much little effort. I have enough trouble finding right angle patch cables to fix up my pedal board. Real problems. Let´s not forget that is troublesome to get around the city after 7 pm or so.

So I stop watching crappy stuff along with doing crappy stuff and spending time with crappy people so to have more free time to take time in relevant stuff. Don´t get me wrong, I love TV and Christianity sometimes has served it´s purpose, but, come on…It´s hard to find a good preacher nowadays in this God Forsaken Country which would  deliver a good placed sermon. Even if I gave up  attendance years ago. Church attendance is usually boring, and so are ordinary masses. I love the architecture and the insides of  those though, the feeling of communing places. There ya go, Mysteries of The Catholic Church. I like the package but not usually the matter.

I guess I can close this semi rant, by explaining what is the majority target (or the ones the Big Execs thought of) for one of the last Latin-American series that launched trough out the continent in one of the Big Latin-American Cable Channels. Well, let´s just leave it at that the show was named: “Thee Gentlemen prefer Dumb Woman”. – Los Caballeros las Prefieren Brutas – You read right. Am not making this up. And the show sucked. Oh, you liked it? There´s the whole difference which is vibrant in this city and no one wants or likes to talk about it. I watched 3 minutes of it. And I cursed the Heavens for it´s sake.  Am sure the Real Dude up there doesn´t find that fitting, and will deliver some sort of terrible menace like the Ghost of Frances Farmer to clear things up most certainly. I had to withstand with the shity and lame comercial for that show that contrapted  me with vomit reflexes every time I wanted to watch Saturday Night Live or House or Parks and Recreations. I ain´t buying it. Nor have, nor will.
