14.Mar.2010 Undercover Dictatorship in Venezuela – Vulcans are on their way.

Am in resting mode, movie watching mode, so am just gonna put forward a couple of links, involving the so called “president” of Venezuela, who is/was reaching out unlegally to take down Twitter, “regulate” the internet, and leave us without cable TV. I know, sounds funny.  In the links below he explains why and how he will proceed in the action of regulating the Internet in this country after he shuted down a TV station, twice, (RCTV)  for not agreeing with his political views in a so called Democratic Country. Me? Am relaxed, I saw in tv that V Invasion extraterrestrial has landed in Venezuela, and that they come in peace. I saw that Battlestar Galactica was approaching Caracas too, so am cool with that. But it´s just because I know this stuff, but what about my fellow Vulcans and peace lovers who don´t know that the decade of  the Diminishing Mind Rulers (in plural) is coming to a certain end? Hard to know. All I know is, until it ends, it sucks eggs in certain aspects to live in this country. And just for the record, am European too. So am not obliged to stay.

Chavez wants to censor Twitter and regulate Internet.

Hugo Chavez wants to regulate the Internet in Venezuela. – most likely because he gets tricked at  paying for free torrents downloads. Hey, don´t pin that one on us! If you can´t stir don´t  shake!

Now seriously, this guy sucks. He already shutted down a TV channel, twice, “accommodated” lots of radio stations and social communication groupings as to say and do what he tells em to, committed crime against humanity, uses the poor like his own tools for maintaining and remaining in  power, and tries to bend reality (Creating a parallel and non-existing reality. As saying that everything in Venezuela is Ok). And actually makes people believe in the lies he´s telling. Oh, and don´t forget the propaganda he brings forth. Sounds like a couple of people who have done favors of destruction for Humanity in the past. Go ahead and Google what´s going on here with the present Dictatorship in disguise that is the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela.

In a future post, I will search out the up to date statistic of monthly murders (which is one of the highest in the globe), rapes, kidnappings, and kids brought to justice for playing belic video games.

He is a living example of a man of resentment.  Do not pity him when he swings the bat at a baseball game and strikes out.

08.Mar.2010 Monthly Download March – Halo (One take All)

Well, since it´s fun to brake preconceived ideas and lineaments that other people might have about individuals in general, at any moment in time, I decided to put forth as a Download of the Month, a song I recorded a while back in Madrid. Yes, in part it´s because am still semi-resting and I don´t have the throttle  to compose, record, mix and produce a song/demo in a few hours. And the other reason it´s just because. Am taking seriously this semi-resting posture. Amplificador de Girasoles, Sunflower Amp in english, was the proyect name I had for it in that time. I recorded it in my long room in Madrid, used a vintage fuzz pedal, a Bullet Fender guitar, 5 strings, and I mastered it myself. When I knew how to master. I passed thru like 3 bands in a few months then I decided to keep doing home recordings and mastering my Guitar Noise Techniques. For when the time would come.

This recording is from 2005, if I remember well. Every flatmate that passed thru the apartment loved my passion for home recordings, all ten of them. The tuning was done, made up improvisto, just seconds before the song, and at the time I called it “Halo (one take all)”, cuz it´s when I started making one take recordings. And up to this day I have followed this phylosophy. Wich I might gonna have to change, in some part cuz, we can´t go all of our lives doing the same thing with the same technique. Hit record and go at it, at the top of your head. Easy. I need a challenge which doesn´t involve delusional postures.  And so on and so on. Thank God I had a few this lasts weeks and it´s what keeps me standing and grounded. If not I would be in the sofa nodding “yeah yeah, your really not better than anybody else, and everything but you sucks Gold, and you own the crappy ore of the Gods. Now get out of my house”. And then saying: “I warned you about playing Dungeons and Dragons”. I spared myself that . Oh, by the way, I was very happy to see a cameo of this song in a not so foreign land Fashion Shoot. Hey, it was spelled the same…

(Am sorry am not posting in Spanish anymore, am way too lazy, and yes, am taking advanced ESL courses soon. Then maybe other classes related to things I like. For example, literature classes about extreme creatures who live in extreme conditions, miles below sea level for extended periods of time)

07.Mar.2010 Monthly Download Delayed/I enjoy stealing.

Well, the Monthly Download has been delayed. Till when, I dunno. I hope I will be able to record it before mid-month. I´ve been trying to officially buy and download La Bamba movie, but thanks to the opressor and Dictatorial Government which calls itself “Officialist” this Country is going thru, it is virtualy impossible for me to buy and download a movie. Let alone softwares and music hardware. Guitars, mixers compressors,  and pedals and stuff.  Or music albums for that matter. So heres the guy who played Buddy Holly (Marshall Creenshaw) rocking out Crying Waiting Hoping, at MTV New Years Party, 1986.

I have been very lazy lately and been dealing with a myriad of stuff, and am starting to like this stuff of lying in bed doing nothing, or watching movies all day and reading books. If the Ipad wouldn´t cost about 5 times what it will cost in Europe and America, I would get it the  first day it  comes out here on the south burroughs. Been in bed with the computer checking out reading material is leaving me with a low sperm count, and semi burnt legs (This computer gets Really heated). And I blame the current Dictatorship of this Country for that too. Depriving a society of technological assets is what began the descent of Atlantis into oblivion, and it´s final demise.

Well, I can always get torrents for all the albums I want in shitty quality, no booklet, wait 3 weeks for an episode to download of a well known series, and watch it using my imagination cuz the resolution sucks, and like get really pissed cuz I want to give my 2 cents to the artists, and am deprived of that “Right”. Am being forced to steal, and I enjoy stealing, is as simply as that (not really)… This is my situation being a conscious artist currently living in Caracas, Venezuela. Hey, but don´t get fooled. We got really fun and really interesting stuff happening  here too, so I hope that downer of a dude who forced himself in charge of this Hip country will get hiss ass of the Power, soon. I might gonna have to call Chuck D. and set him straight.

05.Mar.2010 Leadbelly sings Gallows Pole.

I would love to hear some re-mastered discs of some of the country blues out there. I mean, the good remastereds. Fanatical as I am, I have an obsession for having the first  release that came out. (sadly, most of the time in cd format), and for a while now, I have grown fond of the  remastereds, that have been coming out, since some 8 years till now. The ones that are done with a certain degree of expertise. They bring out the splashes and sparks and bring out the tones which have been muffled by time, or by some other strange reason.

The “Blonde on Blonde” remastered I own,  is a prime example of this am saying. Its a complete new record. But there are sometimes tons of remastered discs, where some are ADD, others AAD,  others done with completely digital stuff, and so on. In the case of Albums which came out first as CD, am a fanatical of remastereds as well. This, according to what I said before, only if the remastered brings some sense of sonic unknown to the record. I drive myself with pretty abstract lines along this. And yeah, I have to own,  the first launch of them, and the “approved remastered”. Tho I always cherish more the first pressing. The one that  sounds as it meant too sound at the time of the release, or could sound when it first came out.   Well, this is Leadbelly singing Gallows Pole. Wiki pedia him. 04.Mar.2010 Answering Machine Tones that Rock.

I called a friend today to leave, uhm , a message, and this is the “Tone” she had on. Pretty rocking. I hope what I said will not get interference by the, unwanted noise.

Maybe I´ll start a new section here. I´ll stop people on the streets, ask what music they have on their  headphones, shoot a pic, and plast it here. Yeah.

As a writer of music, most of the time, this post might come disengaging for me. Am not in the mood for writing. Am not in the mood of writing what I think about privet companies.  Freaking geeks wanna talk to you about their Fav Sci-fi book today  and you don´t wanna hear. – “It´s fun they say!” –  ”Let´s resort to Violence!”  - And hope it doesn´t backfire.

As I take my first days of rest, I can enjoy checking out in depth all the writers, magazines, blogs, do it yourself steps pages we all love. And checking out tons of movies… Leave what movies I should watch in the comment box! Emails do not apply anymore to concerns made already public some time ago.

And all of this comes, from a recommendation lecture, made by Amilcar Ortega, about the issues ongoing in America by the Company Google. Hey, we have streets GPS here too.  (Fine, it may not pass as a lecture, but for some of us is a great reading…)
